You honestly thought that was funny?I thought it was brilliant. Brilliant.
The sensationalist Press, the hysterical State, and the paranoid Public all get skewered.
It's a trifecta.

The press were so pissed off that they (the press) weren't being taken seriously. As though it's your duty to take the press seriously. They were pouty and like, "You'll be sorry that you didn't take us seriously."

Well, I can see it that way, but those guys were NOT funny.
It was dangerous though, factoring in the reaction that was bound to come.
Remember MOST people never heard of that before yesterday.

The State incites and encourages fear, and then holds itself out to the terrorised public as their only hope. It's all about power. It's not that complicated.

LMAO. It was like Bill and Ted have a Press Conference! These guys are my heroes. I still keep laughing when I think about it (the press conference).

Correct a trifecta. I kept chuckling when I heard about the light brights and the absurd overreaction.
The press conference was amusing a bit stupid, but no one is obligated to take the press seriously.
If they acted like that in court it would be contempt. But the press may want to be the authorities but are not and they were skewered.
Mockery and parody are weapons angainst the absurd.
