I'll argue that the fact that it works is evidence of it's morality.

Ultimately it tends to foster progress and general well being, where socialism tends to foster apathy, stagnation and decay. I'd say there's some moral metrics involved in that comparison.

The author is really talking about politics, not economics. He is just is too stupid to understand the difference.

Freemarket capitalism is not possible without a Judeao-Christian moral base. The assumptions of Capitalist industry and trading are based on Mosaic expectations and trust. Atheists and Hindus can do it, too, but only because the edifice is already built.
