The End Racial Profiling Act (ERPA) is a major threat. Terresa Monroe-Hamilton of Noisyroom.net points out:

I know. Let's hope is isn't another forty.
If that passes we might as well disband the military, the police, the courts and close all jails and prisons. Everyone, from a common criminal to a terrorist, has some ethnic background or other, whether the person's name is McVeigh or Bin Laden. This is the ultimate "get out of jail" card. The purpose behind this is to let criminals and terrorists run amok.
