Baltimore, Md. -- Mitt Romney said today he would name judges in the mold of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito "if I am lucky enough" to become President and be able to appoint federal jurists.
At a press briefing following his luncheon address to the Republican Study Committee retreat here, the former Massachusetts governor and '08 Republican presidential hopeful said that the two Supreme Court appointments made by George W. Bush were "exactly spot on" and he would name judges like Roberts and Alito.
His criterion for naming federal judges, Romney added, would be judges who "follow the Constitution, and not depart from it."

It amazes me that people go on about the Mormon, the bigger question to me is Will America elect a Muslim (ie Obama). That's the same question I have. Many of the pro-life Christians confuse me in their concern about Romney's Mormonism yet don't express similar concerns about Obama's Muslim origins.
Deep down, in strictly religious label terms, which one the candidates concerns them most?

The Boston Globe wrote in 2005, Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans, has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced, instead tapping registered Democrats or independents including two gay lawyers who have supported expanded same-sex rights.

Ouch.
That's pretty damning. Romney's got some explaining to do.

Romney's going to be the next President. Fox News just said that in New Hampshire McCain and Rudy are slipping and Romney is rising, pulling even with Rudy. They have them at:
McCain 27%
Romney 20%
Rudy 20%

Mitt's sounding almost as good as he looks. :0)

Romney/Steele -- what a great ticket! Very intelligent and charismatic.

Rudy has no "record on judges" regarding appointments. once you understand how the judicial appointment process in NYC works (as I outlined on another thread), you see that.
Ginsberg won confirmation 96-3. almost every republican voted for her.

Many of the pro-life Christians confuse me in their concern about Romney's Mormonism yet don't express similar concerns about Obama's Muslim origins. If it's Mormon vs. Muslim, the Mormon may win.
But if it's Mormon vs. Methodist (i.e. Hillary), Mitt doesn't have a prayer.
Hillary will play the "Christian" card. She claims to be "evangelical," you know.

I watched about 1/2 of that video and its full of lies regarding Mormons and Mormon beliefs. There was very little accuracy in that ignorant cartoon you posted.

Ginsberg won confirmation 96-3. almost every republican voted for her. That means nothing. Most of the Republican Senators believe that the President is entitled to his nominees. Unlike the crats who invented the term "To Bork".

I didn't make the cartoon and have no link to it. I don't really know what Mormons believe nor do I give a damn, and why should I believe you as to it's truthfulness.
None of the above matters. What you do see is just the beginning of what the crats with hit you with if old flip flopping Mitt is the Republican nominee.
