The Catholic Church is socially conservative but economically liberal. Libertarians are economically conservative but socially liberal.

I've wondered what the opposite of libertarian was, but that never occurred to me. It's something to think about.

Well, I'm Catholic and a libertarian. That's because while I believe in certain moral values, and I believe in helping those less fortunate, I don't think it's appropriate for the government to force people in either case. People should do the right thing because they feel compelled to do so by the power of their faith, not the power of the government.
