Reagan was well known as an actor and presenter on Death Valley Days, well before he became governor of California. As governor he was able to show that he had the "Right Stuff" during the Viet Nam War.

The only things that Duncan Hunter has shown are empty words, leavened with votes. I have no idea if he can delegate authority, and can get together a team to run his Cabinet. For all I know he might be the Right's version of Jimmy Carter.
