'Occupied' Serbs would resist
The Washington Times ^ | February 9, 2007 | David R. Sands

Kosovo's Serb minority will "resist as any occupied people would do" if a U.N. mediator's plan to give the province de facto independence from Serbia is approved, Bishop Artemije, head of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, warned yesterday.

The plan, made public by U.N. envoy Martti Ahtisaari earlier this month, is "unacceptable" to both the Serbian population inside Kosovo and to the Serbian government in Belgrade, and would only embolden Kosovo's ethnic Albanian majority to continue targeting Bishop Artemije's community, he said in an interview during a Washington visit.

"If this plan happens, it will only give the Albanian terrorists a chance to finish the ethnic cleansing job against Serbs in Kosovo that has been going on for the past seven years," Bishop Artemije said, speaking through an interpreter. "Serbia will react as any democratic country would do to the loss of its territory, and Serbs in Kosovo will react as any occupied people would do."

The United States and European Union have backed the Ahtisaari plan, which would give Kosovo all the trappings of statehood -- including a flag, national anthem, constitution and standing army -- under international monitoring, while avoiding any direct mention of independence.

[...]

The United States and the European Union have pushed a settlement for fear that frustrated Kosovar Albanians could turn to violence if the negotiations are prolonged. But Serbia has a traditional ally in Russia, which has said it would not support a settlement in Kosovo opposed by Belgrade.

Bishop Artemije said yesterday that the protections for Kosovo's Serbs in the Ahtisaari plan would never be enough to entice Belgrade to give up its claim to what many Serbs see as their religious and cultural homeland.

Sickening that the Serbs have to rely on the Russians for protection as the USA backs the persecutors of Christians who have burned down many historic Christian churches in Kosovo. Billy Jeff Clinton and Mad Maddy Albright's rancid legacy will cause the deaths of Christians there for decades to come. God is watching, and we will be punished: "Be not deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will reap." (Galatians 6:7)

One day, we'll read similar stories about the beseiged American minority in Aztlan who valiantly try to defend their homes as the UN hands it over to Mexico.

And we'll be able to thank to Clinton administration's actions and the Bush administration's silence for all of it.

And the grand Finale............duh!!!

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=7318

and GUESS who is funding this yahoooo organization....

"MXGM has received funding from the New York Foundation and George Soros’s Open Society Institute." imagine that....:))

"The Malcolm X Grassroots Movement (MXGM) describes itself as an organization of “Afrikans in America,” rather than “African Americans,” because it does not view black people in the United States as true Americans but rather as the descendants of forcibly transplanted Africans -- descendants whose very presence in North America is nothing more than an unfortunate legacy of slavery. In much of its literature MXGM makes reference to “amerikkka,” whose lower-case spelling connotes contempt and disregard, and whose triple k’s signify the nation’s allegedly irredeemable racism as embodied in the Ku Klux Klan. Vowing “to defend the human rights of our [black] people and promote self-determination in our community,” MXGM charges that “the collective institutions of white-supremacy, patriarchy and capitalism have been at the root of our [black] people's oppression.”

To advance the “struggle for the liberation of the New Afrikan Nation -- By Any Means Necessary,” MXGM’s Free the Land campaign seeks to form an “independent Black Nation on land in north amerikkka.” This proposed entity would be situated in the region that “is primarily known as South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, as well as other areas of what is now called the Black-Belt South, where Afrikan people are in the majority or have a historical/economical/socio-cultural relationship to [sic].” The New Afrikan Nation would have a communist economy where “the major means of production and trade” were placed “in the trust of the state.” In addition, MXGM demands “reparations, or repayment for four hundred years of slavery, colonialism and oppression of our people in the United States of America.”

MXGM’s major organizational Programs and Initiatives include the following:
• Black August: Established in the California prison system in the early 1970s by members of the Black Liberation Movement, Black August “holds great significance in the African tradition of resistance against white supremacy in the United States.” This program recently launched a “Black August Hip Hop Project” that “strives to support and politicize the culture of our [young] generation [of blacks]and use it to aid the struggle for human rights … [and] to grow into a vehicle for artists and activists to oppose the genocide of African people, white supremacy and its propaganda, the criminalization of youth and youth culture, the advancing global prison industry, and the continued existence of political prisoners in the United States.”
• Know Your Rights Information: “Every year thousands of people are improperly stopped, detained, arrested, brutalized and even murdered by the police. Young people of Afrikan descent are frequent targets of the cops. Although most cops don’t respect them, you [blacks] do have legal rights. … Don’t talk to the police, speak on videotape, or to a District Attorney about anything that has to do with the crime you are arrested for.”
• New Afrikan Women’s Caucus (NAWC ): “A committee within MXGM which opposes any form of oppression that limits girls and women from becoming self-determining individuals and reaching their fullest potential, … NAWC recognizes that cultural, economic, political and social institutions, practices and beliefs limit the human worth of our girls and women.”
• People’s Self-Defense Campaign: Founded on the premise that “people in communities of color are routinely stopped, searched, and detained without probable cause or reasonable suspicion,” this campaign “observes, documents, and prevents incidents of police misconduct and brutality through educating and organizing our community and supporting survivors/victims of this misconduct.”
• Political Prisoners: Claiming that there are currently more than 100 people “incarcerated in the U.S. because their beliefs and/or actions were in opposition to the repression of this government,” this program laments that "[t]he oppression of Afrikans in America continues today … The challenges which have continuously plagued the Afrikan community, such as lack of access to quality education, substandard housing conditions, and lack of political empowerment, still remain. The police continue to target Afrikans, at times beating and killing us, and arresting young Akfrikan's to funnel us into the Prison Industrial Complex, a system to reintroduce free labor, i.e. slavery in America.”

Among the more notable current and recent “political prisoners” identified by MXGM are: (a) Geronimo Pratt, the onetime Black Panther who in 1970 was arrested for the murder of a Los Angeles teacher (MXGM describes him as “a decorated Vietnam Vet” who was framed and convicted only “because of his leadership skills”); (b) Mumia Abu Jamal, another former Black Panther who was convicted of the 1981 murder of Philadelphia policeman Daniel Faulkner (MXGM calls Jamal “an award winning journalist” who “has struggled for the justice and human rights of people of color since he was at least 14 years old”); (c) Assata Shakur, a Black Liberation Army (BLA) organizer who was convicted of murdering New Jersey highway trooper Werner Foerster in May 1973 during a routine traffic stop, and who in six years later escaped from prison with the help of armed accomplices and fled to Cuba (MXGM calls her “The Soul of the BLA” who was unfairly “targeted by the FBI,” and who “was liberated from a New Jersey prison” in 1979; (d) Leonard Peltier, an American Indian rights activist who was convicted of murdering two FBI agents in 1975 (MXGM describes him as “a carpenter, welder, and American Indian Movement leader” who was wrongly convicted and now “writes, paints, and organizes from behind bars”; and (e) Laura Whitehorn, a socialist and a former member of the domestic terrorist group Weather Underground, who pled guilty to the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Capitol (MXGM calls her “a long-time activist” who “directed AIDS education and wrote for numerous publications during her years behind bars”).
To carry its message to a new generation of black activists, MXGM has established a Student Committee whose mission is “to reignite black radical politics on college, university campuses and academic settings” that “will work to eliminate oppression upon peoples of African descent/New Afrikans within the United States and abroad.”

I think the UN/US are seriously underestimating the resolve of the Serbs. One must remember that they are the ones who murdered Franz Ferdinand, that stood alone against the Nazis, and defied Joseph Stalin.

George Soros…there's a great American! And I got all bent out of shape when I learned of the PRC influence in American politics!

Hell, if our CIA can do it to our neighbors, why shouldn't Europe's elite be allowed to interfere, muddy, obfuscate, and Balkanize us into oblivion?

It's still a 'free' country, isn't it?

Kosovo's Serb minority will "resist as any occupied people would do" if a U.N. mediator's plan to give the province de facto independence from Serbia is approved

It wouldn't be the first time. Sadly, the UN thugs never learn from history.

During the early days of World War II Hitler invaded Yugoslavia as part of Germany's eastward push through Europe. The muslim Kosovars saw it as an opportunity to break Kosovo away from Serbia and jumped on the opportunity. Nazi race theory included Balkan muslims on the list of "Germanic" people, so Hitler and Heinrich Himmler were all too eager to have them. The Nazis welcomed an influx of Muslim Kosovar volunteers, urged to join by their imams under the leadership of Grand Mufti al-Husseini of Jerusalem, a close friend and ally of Hitler.

Following a deal signed by Heinrich Himmler and the Grand Mufti, Hitler personally authorized the creation of the 21st Waffen-SS "Skanderbeg" Division for Muslim Kosovar and muslim ethnic Albanian recruits into the SS. They basically ran around Serbia committing genocide at Hitler's behest until the end of the war. Among their tasks were the expulsion of all Jews from Kosovo and the ethnic extermination of Kosovar Serbs.

The Serbs formed vigorous resistance movements consisting of the Royalist Chetniks under Draza Mihajlovic and the pro-communist Partisans under Tito (later the Yugoslav dictator). The Serbian resistence movement converged on the muslim SS unit in late 1944 and cornered them in the town of Mitrovica in northern Kosovo. The remainder dissipated into Austria and surrendered to the allies.

IMO, America has done far more than enough damage to those who should be our natural allies in the War on Terror.

I say, turn Kosovo over to a multinational peacekeeping force consisting of Russians, Greeks, and Poles.
