As a New Mexican, I think that's iffy....there has been so much in his past that can be documented, and he has done a horrible job as governor, in spite of what the press says about him.
No. I'm with you. I breathed a sigh of relief, too, the week he decided to give it a try. Why? I think he could actually govern, even if the Repubs won back the congress. And he loves America as we know it. The two dems currently ahead would love nothing better than to end America as we know it.
Lastly, the conservative movement pretty much sucks eggs right now, and we stand to lose the White House. If we do, the lesser evil, by far, is Richardson. With him in the WH, I would at least not have to find a place to blow chunks every day. W/ either the hildabeest or hussein, I'm afraid I'd toss a lot of cookies in 4 years' time.

I'm believing Richardson is the certain VP nominee. I think the #1 dem will be either Edwards or Gore, likely Gore. Hillary is out because she voted for the war. Obama is out because dems don't vote for blacks for important offices, they just want the black vote.
No, you're not. I still think either Hillary or Obama will be the Dem nominee, but I can see where they could esily just nuke each other out of the race. Richardson has a great resume, so he could sccot through as they crash and burn. This scenario has precedent: Rus Feingold was polling at 6% early in his first Senate race, but the front runners went negative early and spent months making vicious personal attacks. Next thing you know, he's beaten them both soundly in the primary...and he went on to beat the Republican and become Wisconsin's junior senator.
No there are a few of you running around here saying this. Kind of curious how you all come to this conclusion? I hate to tell you this but most Democrats Women activists vote for the one they most want to have sex with. (Which really makes their fixation on John Kerry and Bill Clinton gross.) Richardson has a serious arousal gap problem.
You will not see this in any of your old Pol Sci texts on American Elections but Democrat candidates usually are nominated on the bases of their ability to be emotionally attractive. Leftists do everything wholly on feeling. There is NO thinking involved. So a Conservative THINKING about the Democrats field thinks Richardson should be the guy but the Democrats don't THINK, they FEEL their candidates.
Hilly gets it cause she is a fellow girl and this IS the party of the Modern Feminists (and the Feminised man) and Obama will get it cause he is a smooth talking con man from the wrong side of the tracks. Richardson cannot out arouse either. He is just too bland, too porky, too dorky.
