His record speaks for itself and it clearly proves that Rudy is not a social conservative.

I said on some social issues, he's a social conservative. Ending race-based preferences, speaking out on fatherless children and perpetual poverty, this is social conservatism. Rudy is probably the only elected Republican I know who took these issues head-on, while the other Republicans were cowering in their corners out of fear of the liberal media.

There is a lot more to being a social conservative than "speaking out" on the issues you mentioned. You are cherry picking and ignoring a host of other issues where Rudy is quite liberal.

I think there were two freepers not too long ago who mentioned here that they support Rudy. The thing that I admired about both of these people is the fact that they admitted that Rudy is a liberal republican, but they were supporting him for other reasons. While I don't respect their decision to vote for a liberal republican, I respect their honesty. I think Rudy supporters here would appear a lot more honest if they would just admit that they are supporting a liberal republican. Jim Robinson, and many others here, have come to the same conclusion I have; Rudy is a liberal. His record speaks for itself.
