...I think Mickey's dropped a few too many acid hits down his gullet...clouded his thinking so to speak...he played a decent tom-tom at one time but as a musical expert...I've got my doubts...

There were several ugly and self-aggrandizing, self-pitying remarks by the group. However, the never-talented Glen Henley (Eagles) who pumped his fist and growled "YES! (long pause) DIXIE CHICKS" capped the evening.

There seemed to be a moment of shocked silence and the cameras did not return to the faces of the other nominees. Perhaps taking five grammy awards from other more deserving and more powerful artists will have the effect of winning the Dixie Chicks some disgruntled critics in the cutthroat business that is Entertainment.
It still amazes me how much mileage the Chicks got out of the fact they received a little hate mail. Boohoo.

I had the great misfortune of hearing the Dixie Chicks several years ago. My reaction then was, "They s**k."
They have not improved with time.

I googled Mojo Nixon vs. Don Henley. Thank God, I thought I was alone. Now I'm remembering...Henley tried to come back in the 90s with "There's a Hole in the World" ? Whaa?
