To: KC Burke

I am torn on this one. I generally despise global and big government solutions. But, deep down, I believe we (humans) are effecting the planet in ways that could lead to devasting results. Deep down, I also believe that, unless our (my) party takes this issue more seriously we will lose elections, but may lose a lot more than that.

Please understand, I wouldn't refuse good reasoned arguements about human activity playing a part in this whole scenario. The problem is that such can't even be discussed.

If the proper reverence to leftist absolutism isn't shown, the entire discussion is dismissed.

is there some harm in chemicals being indiscriminately spread across the envirnment? Obviously. But few true scientific studies now wouldn't acknowledge that the whole DDT thing was political hype and more suffering has resulted.

What is being presented isn't careful prudent science -- it is religion, and a perverted one at that.
