Yet another man has betrayed Hillary Clinton. This time it's George W. Bush, who not only deceived her about WMDs but, when granted congressional authorization to go to war in Iraq, actually did so. This came as a surprise to her,... I don't want to know how President Bush failed Hillary Clinton [but] how she failed her country.
"From almost the first day they got into office," Clinton said ... the Bush administration was "trying to figure out how to get rid of Saddam Hussein." If that was the case ...then how come she now says she did not think Bush, armed with a congressional resolution, would hurry to war? ... I fault [Hillary, Dodd, Biden and Edwards], though, for passing the blame to Bush as the guy who misled them. They all had sufficient knowledge ... Can it only be coincidence that all the other Democratic senators [beside Obama]now running for president voted for the war? Can it also be a coincidence that they voted as a majority of the American people at the time wanted? Not a single one of them bucked the zeitgeist, yet other Democratic senators -- 21 of them -- voted against the resolution. They were the ones not running for president.
The zeitgeist has reversed course. A clear majority of Americans and a preponderance of Democrats now oppose the war and have no confidence in Bush's handling of it...
Too often when a candidate throws his hat into the ring, he tosses principle out the window. Yet this is precisely what we want in a president -- principles and the courage to stick to them. Instead of Clinton saying she had been misled by Bush... I'd like to hear an explanation of how she thinks she went wrong and ...how she failed her country.

So why doesn't Richard Cohen bring this up? If Cohen, unlike the Hildabeast, is trying to be principled on the war, he needs to address the acts and statements of the CLINTON ADMINISTRATION first.
But you know what? The Left recognizes the Sinkmeister and the Missus for what they actually are---unprincipled, opportunistic liars. IOW, they no more actually believed that Bubba was telling the truth about Saddam Hussein than they believed that he was telling the truth about Monica than they believed that he cared one whit for that big, fat Bible he carried in and out of all those church services.
They KNOW they manipulate the truth for political cover---in order, in their minds, to accomplish something greater, such as socialism or whatever.
This is why the Lefties are no more exercised about Clinton the First's statements on Iraq than they were about his statements of religiousity. It's all hollow and, in their minds, understandable pandering.
But let George W. Bush express the exact same thoughts, well, you'd think all hell had broken loose. Why? Because everyone knows he means what he says.
Why not also email it to the author? He's clamoring for a principled response; let's hear one.

That oval office address given by BJ, as quoted in post #6, actually negates the left's entire argument that Bush went into Iraq under false pretenses. I think it is the perfect ammunition for fighting the lying witch.

Sadly, you are entirely correct. It appears that most of the Left actually understands that their leadership are liars and condones their lies because when one has no moral center then the end justifies the means.

Sorry, you are wrong. Cohen tossed her a softball to make her look courageous when she comes out and asks forgiveness from the left for her mistake.
They will praise her and compare her to the President who does not admit his failure. She will go on tour touting her understanding of human nature and tell us that to be President, you have to admit when you are wrong.
The media will put her on a pedestal and Code Pinko and the rest of the leftist groups will come back to the plantation.
And at the convention, Senators Biden and Dodd will get up before a nationally broadcasted freakshow and declare Hillary as the next coming of Jesus Christ.
And the useful idiots will seig heil the new Fuhrer.
