South Carolina Black Leaders Throw Support to Clinton
KWQC TV ^ | 2/13/07

COLUMBIA, S.C. Two key black political leaders in South Carolina said today they are supporting Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

State Senators Robert Ford and Darrell Jackson told The Associated Press they believe Clinton, of New York, is the only Democrat who can win the presidency.

Both said they had been courted by Illinois Senator Barack Obama (ber-AHK' oh-BAH'-muh). They say they believe his winning the primary would drag down the rest of the party.

Ford says with a black man at the top of the ticket, Democrats would lose control of the House, the Senate and governor's races.

The endorsements come just days before Obama and Clinton bring their presidential campaigns to South Carolina for the first time.

This really isn't good news- I was hoping Obama would challenge Hillary enough to make her spend a lot of money and shift further left than she already is to appease the base.

If she keeps this huge lead over Obama she can save her money and take more centrist positions with her eye on the general election.

Pretty soon Obama will just start acting like a good boy so he can get the VP job.

Maybe Obama Osama's head will swell big enough to make him want to run on a third party ticket.

I can dream, can't I?

I'm not sure he will go for the VP slot. And I don't think Hillary will want him.

The original article really provides a pronunciation guide!

From now on, every time I write a post using the name Barack Obama (ber-AHK' oh-BAH'-muh) I'm going to include that.

LOL.

I am from Cola SC (Born and raised) and trust me this means NOTHING!!

The left in SC is the fringe not the norm, even with the black people.

South Carolina is NOT full of angry leftist.

So now they're giving us orders on how we must pronounce his name. Or else be tagged a racist, no doubt.

The country may be ready for a woman president or vice-president; the country may be ready for an African-American president or vice-president.

But Hellary knows that the country is not ready for a woman AND an African-American in the presidency and vice-presidency.

I think he'd take it if offered, but I agree with you that Hitlery wouldn't want him. He doesn't have anything to offer Hitlery -- she already has the black vote and the anti-Christian left vote locked up. She'll pick a "moderate" white boy like Warner or a "moderate" practically-white boy like Richardson to try to appeal to independents.

Obama is basically a white liberal with big ears and a black sperm donor. His Daddy bugged out on him when he was two, his next step-father was a Muslim supremicists and by Junior High, he landed in Hawaii and was then raised by rich white grandparents who sent him to a preppie school.
