Notorious pro-choice "minister" keynote speaker at Catholic cathedral (!!!)

The keynote speaker was Rev. Jacqueline Luck, minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Jackson. The title of her presentation was “Without Vision the People Will Perish.” .... “Mississippi is the most dangerous place in the United States for women and children,” she said, “...How can we not commit to do what we can?” .... In closing the celebration, Bishop Latino told the audience that in order to be a visionary, one has to see what others can not, or refuse to see.

I know that this is a little late (news-wise), but just today, reading "Rev." Jacqueline Luck's identification in this morning's Clarion-Ledger (Jackson, MS) as an "abortion rights advocate," did it hit me. I suddenly recalled reading back in Jan. that she had been the keynote speaker at Bishop Latino's invitation, to speak at the cathedral (!) at a celebration honoring the late Dr. King.

I implore all faithful Catholics and other concerned abortion opponents to PLEASE write, call and email the Jackson Diocese and Bishop Latino to express your outrage that he would invite a known pro-choice advocate (who, incidentally, was in today's paper for chastising one of our pro-life state senators for his views on abortion), to be a speaker at ANY Catholic event, ESPECIALLY one held at the cathedral (for crying out loud!).

Contact info: Catholic Diocese of Jackson 237 East Amite P.O. Box 2248 Jackson, MS 39225-2248 (601) 969-1880

Bishop Latino's email: joseph.latino@jacksondiocese.org

Thanks for your comments and your help!

OMG!! God help us!! These priests and Bishops are going to have some very hard questions to answer to God at their death, if not before.

If someone could figure out how to get this topic listed on the religion and pro-life forums, I'd appreciate it. I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Please, Unitarianism has about as much to do about religion as Crystals and Drum Circles.

Unitarian: A religion consisting of Agnostics and reform Jews who meet to pray "to whom it may concern."

(As defined by a the Unitarian father of one of my high school friends.)

Universalists: Everyone makes it to heaven, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Jack the Ripper, etc. I suppose this extends to aborted babies and abortionists.

(What a convenient religion! There is no impulse or desire which fulfilled can bar entrance to their heaven!)

Evidently you have not been following the March of Progress on this forum. Here on FreeRepublic, abortion is now considered a private and personal choice, and besides, there's nothing we can do to stop it, so we might as well pay for it with our tax dollars. It's all about beating Hillary, you know. Surely Mississippi will get with the program!

And the hymnbooks are blank because they "make it up as they go along".

(Never could resist a cheap shot. Heh.)
