I like all of our candidates except Ron Paul and Brownback, but I like Brownback's tax proposals.

You could be right. Newt didn't endorse Rudy.
If this is the way the GOP is headed, it'll be another 1964 or 1996 outcome. Not good for Republicans.
Conservatives are patient folks. We don't go along just to get along. Political expediency is not part of the gameplan.

Soon 75% of their former heroes will be called RINO's.

look at the roll call vote on Ginsburg's confirmation above.

He is shrewd in the political arena. It's a possibility.

You need to find an ideologically pure conservative whose ratings aren't in the basement and who has tons of cash.

I mean really, its too bad Gingrich didn't do anything in the "image building" department since he left congress. he's very smart, speaks well, good on the issues.
now I know, it may be shallow to say he has an "image" problem, but hey that's politics.
To: Jet Jaguar
"And as he said the other day," said Gingrich, "he would have appointed the same two Supreme Court justices as Bush did. So conservatives have got to decide, you know, is that acceptable or not acceptable?"
Sheeat, Newt, you may be smarter than I am, but, not by that much!
Newt, I would love to discuss "conservative" with you, from a redneck point of view! Set the date, I ain't hard to find! No presets, no moderation, no rules, just stand, like a man, and debate! I get to interupt you, anytime you get off track, and go to blowing smoke, and you get the same!
Newt, do you have the balls to debate an old swampdwelling redneck freeper, all your degrees, against my little AA, in front of a freeper panel? Anything goes, Newt, man to man!

Looks like Newt is whoring himself out for a VP nod. Interesting in that he thinks Giuliani is the likely nominee and by supporting the ex Mayor now, his conservative credentials will protect Giuliani the RINO during the race.

Rudy is working up quite an image problem of late.
Still early though.

I am liking Duncan Hunter more and more, but I could certainly live with Newt.

I disagree. He (Newt) has not announced for the Presidency, but said he would wait until September or such.
I think he sees the problem I see.
Unless a Conservative for the GOP nod starts to make a showing, he will jump in.
