IMO, McCain showed a lot of integrity by speaking out forcefull against the resolution and the "insult" it represented. There was no need for him to show up to vote against ending the debate since there was no chance of cloture occuring.

I wish more Republicans had stayed away. Imagine--these treasonous coward Democrats insisting that the supporters of the war come in and "debate" them on a meaningless resolution with no chance of even coming to a vote. Were I a senator, I'd have told them to go to hell, which is sort of what McCain did.

the usual traded non-votes,for those
who, for some reason, believe the otherwise
apparanly generous Congressional vacation
schedule just won't suffice.
