Father of Shooter Believes Someone Told His Son to Kill People
KLS.COM ^ | Feb 17, 2007 | Andrew Adams

The father of Trolley Square shooter Sulejmen Talovic apologizes over and over for the ordeal. Suljo Talovic says no one who knew his son saw this coming, and he believes someone pushed him to do it.

Suljo Talovic doesn't know where his son got the guns or how he learned how to use them.

Suljo Talovic, Father of Shooter: "Somebody got (the guns)…and maybe (they were) training him and tell(ing) him (to), ‘go shoot somebody.'"

Question: So you think that somebody influenced him maybe to do this?

Suljo Talovic: "Yeah. I think somebody."

Talovic says the tragedy is taking a toll on his family.

Repeatedly, in a lengthy interview with KSL Newsradio, Talovic expressed the sentiment that someone trained and pushed his son to kill. He apologizes for the ordeal, saying it makes him feel horrible, like killing himself.

I read somewhere, that the Mosque he attended was not far from the mall.

I was questioned when I said they should trace the gun. I said that because I want to know if he got it from another Muslim or terrorist group.

If his family had no guns, and if this kid never learned to shoot at home, then I also think it's a good question where he learned to shoot. I remember there was talk about a Muslim training ground somewhere in California a few years ago.

No, shooting a rifle of shotgun isn't the hardest thing in the world, but you do need to try it at least a few times first. He seems to have managed to kill people pretty well. Where did this kid get the gun, and where did he train?

I'd also like to know about mosque attendance. I hope the police really check into this and don't just cover it up. We can pretty well rely on the FBI to cover it up--that seems to be their self-appointed job, as we saw in the case of the Norman suicide bomber, OKC, and a dozen other instances of apparent Muslim terrorism.

Local paper reported today that the kid allegedly had two earlier instances of pulling knives on people and threatening them, but for some reason, his record was expunged well before the massacre:

I think he was influenced by somebody else, that is, by his mullah or some other Islamic "spiritual leader." He obviously had problems, but so did the Columbine killers; the parents of one of them had been trying to get their son into the care of a psychiatrist or a psychiatric institute, IIRC.

Of course, the press analyzed every word the Columbine killers said, every website they visited, every video game they played and every person they knew. That's fine. But why is the same thing not happening in this case?

Actually, I don't think the killer could have bought those particular weapons until he was 21. He probably had to have outside help with all of the weapons, and he doesn't sound as if he hung out with the local thug crowd. Somebody probably did help him get the weapons, and somebody probably encouraged him to use them.

I think his father was not involved, but is upset and feels responsible. He possibly knew his son was a little odd, but he obviously didn't feel the kid was dangerous and suspects that somebody influenced the kid and enabled him to do it.

I think you're right. Kids that age don't often go off the rails that far unless they have someone else to talk to and to egg them on. I don't think reading or watching TV is enough to trigger it.

I hope his father keeps this up, because someone needs to pressure the authorities to investigate.

The MSM went into Columbine full steam ahead because it gave them a couple of handles they really liked: the argument for gun control, the question of violent video games, and maybe the influence of Naziism or so-called "Christian militias." We all saw how Michael Moore made political hay from it, and a lot of money as well, because it played to the liberal establishment.

This case, in contrast, threatens to involve questions the MSM would prefer to ignore: Islamic terrorism, the influence of Islamic mosques, the possibility of Muslims spreading violence among their friends.

What does he expect from a Mooselimb fanatic. The death cult preaches killing innocents. Maybe the police should talk to the Imom?

Exactly. It's better to laugh than cry. I think we're more creative in the laughing mode.

The media is shifting to the mourning for the victims.

They don't want to dig too far into this. It doesn't fit their agenda. It doesn't fit their worldview.

Remember, the media slanted the the whole Bosnian/Serbian conflict against the Serbs all though the Clinton years. One sided doesn't even come close to the coverage back then.

"Where does he go to Mosque?"

According to several sources, approximately one block away from the mall.

"I would not assume a terror attack based on what his dad says."

Let's look at what we know thus far...

1 - The mosque he attended is within a mile from the mall...although that alone means nothing at all.

2 - His imam (Muslim priest) at that aforementioned mosque was recently charged with beating his wife in front of his 2 kids and throwing a knife at her less than a month ago...he went to seek "refuge" in Chicago not long before the mall incident:

3 - His father claims someone must have put him up to this:
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=900025

4 - Actual video and audio of the incident....he was supposedly heard shouting, "Allah Akbar"(which I myself can't hear, but some threads here in FR have people slowing down the audio and saying that is definitely what they hear):
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1785599/posts
...post 9 has a direct link to the footage.

So let's keep all this information in mind as well.

Wow! Some of those posters at the television station's site are downright scary talking all manner of psychobabble in an effort to ignore the elephant standing in the living room.

Oh, one I forgot to mention, not a key fact, but once again, add it all up.. do the math...to be this is pretty damn obvious, but that's my opinion.

It seemed he was specifically targeting a Hallmark card store, one day before Valentine's day, a holiday most Muslims see as wrong:

I listened to the posted video. The police identified themselves at 1:36 into the clip. The shooter yelled "allahu akbar" twice at 1:38. A shotgun blast is heard, then he yells "allahu akbar" once more at 1:47.
