Dog, you've said Hunter is dirty.

PKM, you've implied there are bombshells about Newt.

But both of you refuse to back those claims up.

I don't buy into your reasons. If Hunter is that dirty, or Newt that problematic, POST THE SUBSTANTIATION NOW. If Hunter is that dirty, I want to know now - and other Freepers need to know now as well - so that no time, money or effort is wasted support his bid. Likewise for Newt.

So quit pretending you are doing a service by not posting the details. Post them. Back it up.

Unless, of course, you don't have them. Just as the earlier attack on Hunter was completely unsubstantiated.

Of 80 ballots cast at the Sharonville Convention Center, Giuliani was the leader with 27 votes.

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich tied with former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for second with 14 votes each. U.S. Sen. John McCain of Arizona had 10 votes and U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas received six votes.

I think Giuliani would be a very strong candidate, I have found over the years that these straw polls are very close," said club member Tawana Keels, also a Princeton School Board member. "It's too early to tell if this one is accurate, but I think Ohio sets the tone for elections and the (candidates) selected here are the ones we'll be watching."

Hmmm, where is Hunter? And by the way, have you noticed how the media never misses the chance to mention Rudy's social moderate leanings every time they mention his name? They keep doing it in the hope that he loses the GOP primary. But in a way this is good, because there won't be any doubt on people's mind about who Rudy is, no hidden secrets, and it's all out for everyone to see. I like that.

... Will someone tell me why we keep getting told to be nice but people are coming at us from all directions? ...

To hold the high ground on credibility. It sure is frustrating, though. The rational among us can have a primary favorite yet promise to vote for the republican candidate in the general, yet the irrational threaten and promise to not abide by the same deal.

Bullcrap, Torie.

I am trying to "help" you dirtboy, even though I am a "Rudybot," just to make it fair. Apparently irony is not something that penetrates your skull.

And those are the nicest things. There are some things that I've shown my husband and he said that since I have been posting at this site for 8 years, if I ever gave them another thin dime he'd rip up the credit card.

Good for your husband. I think you have it right. My son said he cannot believe the language and name calling on here because we support Rudy. He called it childish and he deals with Freshman comp papers all the time as a Grad Student teaching.

We get whined out if we post, ignore, or say what we think. So nice to know these people have free reign to trash us at will because we support Rudy but we dare say nothing against another candidate even on a Rudy thread. My credit card and/or checkbook are shut as well. I figure we are not long for this site as it is the way they keep hitting abuse and telling us what we should do and if we don't to get off.

Sorry, Torie, but the crazy thing is, it's getting very difficult to tell the ironic from the serious among Rudy supporters lately.

Please don't let the facts get in the way of what these people think! They won't believe it anyway as they have convinced themselves that only Hunter can save the day!

Agree with you about Pres Bush and his spending habits.

Give me a fiscal conservative any day of the week!

To hold the high ground on credibility.

Yeah, sure. Credibility is not held by making claims that the other guy is crooked or damaged goods without backing it up.

PKM, put up your substantiation about Newt. Or quit making insinuations that you refuse to back up.

You seem to have the problem with facts. Spending under Rudy rose well above the rate of inflation during his second term. And he massively increased the NYC debt load.

In other words, he did for NY what Bush did for the federal budget. Yet you attack Bush but give Rudy a pass.

How convenient...

We substantiate the claims against Rudy. Anti-Rudy posts are thoroughly documented.

YOU SPREAD SLIME WITHOUT BACKING IT UP. You were actively backing the attacks by AmeriBrit against Hunter - attacks that were proven to be groundless.

It is more frustrating then 1999/2000 and I thought that was bad. I have said repeatedly that I will vote for whoever the nominee is even McCain who I have not liked for years. Not some of these folks. We have people now saying Hillary would be better. That's not conservative because the judges would be as liberal as they come.

They twist words, etc. as they try to bait us. I don't follow anyone around but certain people love to follow us around. Same people had the same mouths in August of 2000 as they do now.

Wonder when they are going to whine and demand we post back to them? Probably be a rule around here sooner or later. :)

I'm asking for you to substantiate your allegations against Newt.

After all, you joined in on AmeriBrit's attack against Hunter that turned out to be completely unsubstantiated. So pardon us if that posting history calls into question your current lack of links to back up your claims about Newt.

Camp Pendleton seems to be a barrier to the information super highway into Orange County. Who knew?

Not only that, but other areas of San Diego seem to be subject to a complete black-out. ;-)

Four words: Google is your friend

AmeriBrit said that as well.

Turns out the claim she used to attack Hunter was buried deep in Google. And unsubstantiated.

So how hard is it for you to provide a link? You sound just like her with your response here.

If Hunter's dirty, tell us now. I want to know.

Unless, of course, you're just making stuff up.

Hunter gets a minus for bouncing checks. He gets a plus for setting up a table in his district with all his bounced checks available for his constituents viewing. And so it goes.

Of course there is no available information on Hunter speaking at a benefit function for Katrina folks and pocketing 80K for that charitable act.

We have one poster saying Hunter is dirty. We have another saying new info seriously taints Newt.

They also imply that anyone who supports those two candidates as a result is seriously deluded. Yet they refuse to provide us links to the information so we can see if we really should drop our support for them. Seems to me if the info was so compelling, providing a link would convince me that Duncan Hunter has no place in my tagline. Hmmmm....

I do my due diligence before committing to anybody. I researched Hunter up, down and sideways. I'm an ACU guy more thana Club for Growth guy. I can give a little on trade and bounced checks. After all I'm not one of those 100% purists. (g)

Another charge is that Hunter is an earmark porker, and loves to spend money at least as much as Bush, if not more. I haven't checked that one out.
