After I became a "literate" Christian I couldn't understand
Christians who said they were conscientious objectors because of

Turn the other cheek is such an abused Scripture, used to defend
cowardice. Jesus asked us to turn our cheek for a second blow for
the sake of the Gospel ... it has nothing to do with not defending ourselves.
