They have completely taken over the city of Framingham. Their numbers will soon overwhelm all the city services in the area and there will be a call for more help (tax money) from the state.

Sounds like you know the town pretty well.But,in the interests of accuracy,it must be noted that they've only taken over South Framingham...south of Route 9.

But it's easy to imagine that city services (particularly police and schools) are overwhelmed trying to serve these illegal "guests".

ACtually, Framingham is a town, not a city. I'm told, in fact, that it's the largest town in the US, although I have not verified that independently.

The government loves being 'overwhelmed'. If not people would be looking at the budgets and laying off town employees. This is the perfect, never end excuse for more employees, services, budgets, pensions.

No bureaucracy, ever, solved the problem it was created to solve. That would be organizational suicide.

James Buccanan won a Nobel in economics for this. Google 'Public Choice Theory.'
