Are there not stories to the effect that Jesse James was not killed by Robert Ford in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1882 and lived to be a centenarian, dying in Granbury, Texas, in the 1950s?

Oddly enough, there is also a “St. Helens” restaurant on the town square in Granbury, where John Wilkes Booth supposedly used to tend bar.
