is his head still on his shoulders?
"We are working with the police to see what happened," United Cab manager Cherrie Machado said.
"I don't believe he will be working here anymore, but that is up to the licensing cab board whether they will pull his permit and the owners of the company."
Machado said she would not feel "comfortable" to have Ahmed back working at the company. She noted that he also teaches English as a second language next door to the cab company."
What is he doing on the street with stolen plates on a cab?
First, I'm not sure we have any proof these kids went to Vanderbilt. Seems to me that they were in college in Ohio.
Second, I've actually had a Muslim cabbie in Nashville start spouting off to me about Islam and about how my beliefs were wrong (though at the time, I simply ignored him and was sure as heck not going to tip him).
Third, Vandy actually has a reputation for being more conservative for institutions of its calibre (i.e. highly ranked in USNews). Maybe I'm missing something, but when I was in Nashville, I had several friends at Vandy who happened to be pretty religious.
"dispute" my ass, just another cnace to murder by the ROP.
Remember, that mental giant algore flunked out of divinity school at Vandy.
Likely the Somali cabbie knew more about what he was talking about than the visitors from Ohio.
Nah...the post office already has diversity up the ying-yang!
Two wrongs?
How about an "eye for an eye"?
Obnoxious certainly doesn't equate to bodily harm and possible death.
No doubt without even using a mirror.
LOL!

LOL!
Probably Right-Wing, war-mongering, ROTC students... ;)
I fail to to see your point out of my own inherent ignorance.
It wouldn't have even had to be an argument - it could have been an "oh really?" with the wrong emphasis and it be taken wrong - or giggling like ninnies about the cartoons of mohammed that would be taken as an affront. That's part of the problem, it doesn't have to be rude or an argument, just non-agreement these days.
The stories just keep coming. I wonder how long until America gets out of denial about the nature of Islam.
One of the students, identified as Jeremy Invus, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. . . .

Looks like Cherrie is a bit uneasy about the would-be killer working next to her--but she might be able to put up with him once he makes bail.
She also notes that he works an ESL class next door. (Perhaps a little jihadist cell development?)
Can't make this stuff up.
As Roger Hedgehock (spelling?) stated this morning....
the FBI will probably not link it to radical islam.
Amen!
Bears repeating:
all I need to know about islam, I learned on 9-11.

"You know, I know some good and decent Muslims. We've never really discussed religion, but then again, they attend Church, not whatever those thingies are..."
Then they are not Muslim (unless they have an ulterior motive for attending Church).
Muslim = a believer in or follower of Islam
They may be Arab or Turkish or Persian and be of a different faith than Muslim. But, if they really are Muslims, then I recommend that you watch your back.
