Tracking Your Carbon Footprint
It's basically a scam. For a mere 100+ dollars, my family and I can become "carbon neutral". How you may ask? By donating this money to an organization that will plant trees to "offset" my carbon footprint. I tried their silly carbon footprint calculator and my family and I produce a mere 10 tones of CO2. For my donation they will plant 44 trees to "offset" the amount of greenhouse gases that I produce.
I seriously wonder how I can get in on this scam? Charge environ mental midgets to feel good about themselves...well, they always say a fool and his money are soon parted.
It's pseudo-science. Every engineering student knows that accumulation is input-output. NONE of these silly calculators ask anything about output. I have SEVEN fully grown Douglas Fir trees in my back yard.
This is just as thought out as man-made global warming. Three years of ocean cooling, offsetting the last fifty years of increase by 20%. It's not in the model for warming, it's unpredictable.
The man-made global warming model is crap science.
