"Not a bad idea." Not a particularly good one either. Most crime is a result of "self-employment".

I agree. Especially those who have committed financial or drug-dealing type crimes. Some of the drug dealers (the druglords, not their hired thugs) run their operation like a legitimate business and probably could apply those skills in a legal venture.
