Politicians can no longer say I was misquoted and that will get them by on some stupid thing they said to try and enlist the support of a particular group.
Someone will be there with a digital video recorder and before they can get back to campaign head quarters that stupid remark will be on the internet and they will have alienated their base to get a few campaign dollars.
Consistency and honesty may finally be worth something in politics.

I went to a Romney rally the other night and it is very true. Nothing unwatched can happen in public any more because half the people at any event are videoing it from their phones.
I couldn’t imagine ever watching most events again, so I don’t bother, but people do.
