A Fredericksburg man was arrested Saturday on charges he assaulted three strangers at their home during a dispute over politics, police said.
According to a Fredericksburg police report, the suspect went to a home in the 900 block of Marye Street about 5:30 p.m. after finding one of the resident's name on a Republican Web site.
The resident and his two roommates engaged in a discussion with the suspect, though none of them had ever met or had contact with him before.
The argument got heated and the suspect learned that the young residents had not enlisted in the military and "put their all" behind the Republican-led war effort in Iraq, police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.
The suspect refused to leave the home after repeatedly being asked to do so, police said. The three roommates were hit multiple times each as they attempted to get the suspect out of the door, authorities said.
The suspect continued to be aggressive and disorderly even after a city police officer arrived, the report states.
Andrew Stone, 23, was charged with three counts of assault and battery. A magistrate released Stone on his own recognizance and he was ordered to have no further contact with the victims.
It was not clear in the report what political agenda Stone was supporting.

This is why we need those stronger self defense gun laws.
If some moonbat comes into your house and assaults you like that, you should be able to shoot him.
Wonder what this guy's name is on DU.

"It was not clear in the report what political agenda Stone was supporting." It certainly doesn't appear to be the patriotic agenda.

Hopefully they'll get his contact info from the police report and repay the visit. If we can't feel safe in our homes, neither should they.

Seeing as how you didn't bother mentioning which state, you must mean Fredericksburg, Denmark. RIGHT?
To: zendari
Man, the lieberals and islamofascists in the USA just keep getting nuttier. The physical assaults and murders are starting to get more frequent. Time for a more than a little smackdown, I'd say.

I think this guy is a little unhinged. And some magistrate releases him on his own recognizance.
I would not be surprised if we hear that this guy shows up at this guys apartment again.
He sounds like a stalker.

Sounds like the suspect supports the war in Iraq and thinks young men should enlist in the military. It may just be me, but I don't read this sentence as referring to your typical Democrat.
May be the "young residents" were up on a Republican website (Free Republic?) talking sh** and he called them on it. Doesn't excuse assault and battery, though.

DU types are always getting hysterical at repubs that suport the war that don't enlist or have children that haven't enlisted (we're all hypocrits that support something, but won't fight ourselves, see?)
So the suspect finds their name on a Repub website, tracks them down and then attacks them for not enlisting in their Rebulican war.

Obviously this DUer hunted down these three Republicans to look for a fight and then tried to paint them as hypocrites when he found out that they had not served in the military.

Actually, I was an RO--I didn't adopt the "Sparky" nickname until after I got out and working for a utility in Southern California which shall remain nameless.
And no, I never dropped a bus while I was doing EO/SEO quals or proficiency.
I DID lose shore power on my very first SRO watch, tho.

Won't happen. These cowards are very canny about who they get tough with. I have some experience with them in protests in NYC (abortion)and they choose who they will assult (or even mildly diss) very carefully.

Limited facts are presented in the story. What I offered was my opinion based on the the one sentence in the story that contained some vague facts relating to the motivation of the suspect. A sentence that, BTW, was at least three levels removed from the source since it came via the arresting officer, the police PR representative, and the reporter.
Your posting is obviously another take on those facts. And you may be right. In fact, I hope you are right since it would cast negative light on the Democrats. But, as I noted, there are not a lot of facts revealed in this story yet and ALL the possibilities in this story should be considered - including the possibility that the suspect is a young Republican with a short fuse.
However remote, may I assume that you do at least concede it is a possibility? When we take that possibility off of the table, we are starting to lie to ourselves about the nature of human beings. Occasionally, even the good guys will have among their numbers people whose springs are wound just a little too tight. And, because of that possibility, we must guard against automatically assuming we are always in the right when incidents like this occur.
The truth will out.

Exactly. I've had the misfortune of listening to one of these moonbat types on the bus some months ago, ranting and raving about how those who support the war won't sign up.
