Yes, it does, and I've said it before. The decline of fiscal conservatism among the powers in the GOP is the exact reason we're seeing this "split" forming between the social conservatives and fiscals. We need both parts to be successful, but too many Republicans think that as long as they're pro-life, it's OK to be a Socialist money-grabbing bastard on other issues. It's not.

You are correct sir.
Rudy has issues with the 2nd amendment though and while I understand that gun control is a hot issue with NYC he had better be willing to allow full exercise of the 2nd Ammendment or he can piss off. That said, people should understand that being a politician is different than being an issue(s) guy. Politicans try to win votes and issues people push their cause.
Different animals....

and honestly I could care less about social conservative values.. being fiscally conservative is top priority... the economy being priority... abortion??? are you kidding me?? that issue is about as important as my decision for a snack in the afternoon.. who gives a flip... and as long as the republicans think issues like abortion and gay marriage are above the economy and fiscal responsibility, the longer the republicans won't get my vote and they will remain the minority party until they figure it out.
