Murtha and Reid are pro-lifers Murtha and Reid are pro-lifers in the same sense that Giuliani and Romney are pro-lifers...through occasional lipservice when they want something electorally, and seldom if ever in deed.

More like, the other way around. While Murtha and Reid
vote pro-life on pro-life legislation, they are functionally pro-choice, because they vote to keep pro-choice leaders in charge. Pro-choice leaders will prevent any pro-life legislation from moving to the floor.
And while Rudy may be personally pro-choice, I think he will be functionally pro-life. He has promised to nominate judges like Roberts, who would overturn Roe and return the issue of abortion to the states - a long-time goal of the pro-life movement.

"Murtha and Reid are pro-lifers in the same sense that Giuliani and Romney are pro-lifers..."Now, EV, there you go again. Romney and Guiliani are not the same on this issue. Guiliani is so pro-choice he is pro-partial birth abortion and is running for president as a pro-choicer.
Romney has taken a conservative stand on the issue, and Jim Bopp chief attorney for National Right to Life since 1978, has joined Romney's presidential campaign.
