Weekend Storm Hits Wisconsin TMJ4 Staff MILWAUKEE - A major winter storm is hitting Southeastern Wisconsin with a lot of snow.
Weather PLUS Storm Team forecaster Michael Fish says there will be between 10 and 20 inches of snow on the ground by the time the storm ends late on Sunday.
The first wave hit Friday night and Saturday morning, with at least 3 to 7 inches in the Milwaukee area. Higher snowfall totals are expected to come in north and west of Milwaukee.
The City of Milwaukee had 96 plows and salters out when the storm hit, but the Dept. of Public Works quickly increased their effort to 190 pieces of equipment when the snow came down much harder and faster than expected.
The main storm hits Saturday night into Sunday morning. The Weather Service has placed all of Southeast Wisconsin under a Blizzard Warning from Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon. The forecast calls for heavy snow and strong winds, possibly mixing with sleet and freezing rain. Michael Fish predicts 4-8 inches of new snow by Sunday morning and very low visibilities.
10-20 inches in the headline, 4-8 inches by the time you reach the end of the article. See? There. Proof of global warming. 6-12 inches of snow, melting before it can even be recorded.

Maybe he'll talk about Global Warming?
The way he sweats, he assumes the whole world is.
Reminds me of two weeks ago when the committee was meeting in DC to discuss global warming - it was cancelled due to ice storm. DC closed down at 3 pm.
It must be global warming. It's in the 20's here, in Iowa, and raining, I don't think this has ever happened in the history of the world. ;-)
Dang. To think I've been in short and a tee shirt all day working in the yard and garden. I'd actually like another cooler weekend. We may hit 40 tomorrow AM. Been over 75 for most of the day.
