American bombardments in the south-east of Baghdad

BAGHDAD - American forces bombarded Saturday evening a sector of the south-east of aiming Baghdad at the time of operations of the “terrorist objectives”, one indicated official military source, while inhabitants evoked heavy artillery shootings.

“Of the American air raids are in hand in the south-east of Baghdad aiming of the terrorist sites”, declared the spokesman of the command of the plan of safety of the capital, Qassim Al-Moussawi.

It specified that these objectives had been given in co-operation with the Iraqi forces, within the framework of the plan of safety aiming at pacifying the capital.

About thirty powerful explosions were heard, coming from the south-east of the capital, starting from 22H00 (19h00 GMT).

Little time after, a cut of electricity struck part of the city, where a curfew is imposed every evening starting from 20h00, but one was unaware of if the two events were dependent.

Inhabitants of the sector for their his part declared in AFP that rebels had apparently drawn from the mortar shells, receiving in response of the heavy artillery shootings.

Strike known as “precision” aiming a building punctually where were located rebels, whereas troops on the ground rake a district, are frequent in the capital.

According to a source with the ministry for the Interior, these bombardments aimed at rebellious bastions in the district of Bo' aitha (south-eastern), located almost at the periphery of the vast capital.

This zone, less urbanized than of other parts of the city and where one finds in particular farms, is famous for its insurrectionists, who install false stoppings there.

The plan of security of Baghdad, which counts six million inhabitants, was officially launched on February 14 and since the beginning of February the operations of raking and controls had multiplied there.

Stoppings were installed a little everywhere, like several advanced stations irako-American.

The city was divided into ten zones which are squared by some 90.000 men, Americans and Iraqis.

Attacks however continued to occur there and Saturday, at least 20 people perished in various attacks.

The American army was not immediately reachable Saturday evening to comment on this information.

Hopefully dozens of Islamist goon's bodies where seen raising upward in the rubble, dust, and smoke as each shell, JDAM reached it's destination.
Perhaps a few months of 24/7 raids throughout the capital and surrounding provinces shall send a clear signal to all goons of every pursuasion the gig is up for them. Either buy into the democracy and peace for Iraq or get in line to pop up daisies this spring.

Well, it was a little hard to interpret, but it sounds like some bad guys are permanently sleeping under a pile of rubble right now.

Lots of fresh fertilizer will be compounded for their flower beds the way things look.
It appears there is no other options available. We and the Iraqi either kill them all off, heaven knows how many tens of thousands in the end game, or this crap simply will continue for a decade or more. It could appear that some basic democratic principles now established shall continue to flourish and perhaps mature in Iraq. The people got a taste of what it like to vote for someone other then a dictator.
So I for one do not think they will collapse into anarchy or some Islamic state.
As parts of Iraq stay peacefull and perhaps develop a better quality of life then they had ever known, more in the resitive provinces shall see this is the best deal, and reach out in faith and turn in the ones causing so much trouble, like the al Anbar tribes are in the process of now doing.
Things could change for the better on a national basis, if this new Iraqi/American initiative works out as planned.

I was thinking more along this line: Lots of fresh fertilizer Barrels of fossil fuel will be compounded for their flower beds added to the world oil reserves, the way things look. Ok, ok!

..."But at this point petroleum chemist are certain oil did not come from decaying animals...." I tend to agree that petroleum is not a fossil fuel, but did not work it into my sarcasm. -(:
