Levin knows that there are 5,000 al-Qaida in Iraq.

They will set a date for removal of combat troops by March of next year. He doesn't know how many are combat troops, but it's most.

He won't say how many will be left. He wants to leave that to the commanders (right!).

Last week Rodguy911 did the honours - sorry for lateness in posting awards but dad was unwell last night and this morning it was obvious he has a UTI.

We are currently awaiting a phone call from duty doctor to sort out some medication.

#3--Morganindenver--#121--**1/2awesome post, here is the finale--"either we win and extend freedom into the Middle East or we lose and suffer for decades as radicals kill Americans and work to destroy our country"--just doesn't get any plainer or better than that,156-*1/2,177-**,213**--dems use anti war efforts to pursue oil companies, stay in power,248**--Dems invest in power but not for America,271--*1/2,302-**---the voice of reason --good GW analysis,411,435**--there are presently 80 countries with violence going on in the world,--660-*1/2,875*--dems don't advocate diplomacy in Kosovo--864,5,**dems did better at getting the vote out.868**--good election analysis hang together.

When Morgan is spending time on the thread everyone knows it, his posts are always clear, concise, right to the point and laced with brilliance.

#2--TXradioguy--it was a virtual dog fight for 1 and 2 today not much difference between the two.

#253*,262*1/2--If there were more dems at the Alamo we would be speaking spanish,**1/2--clinton slashed military,--great post,296,305--*1/2--You must see GW live to know what he says since the dbm spins it all,308--reporters in Iraq more concerned about the buffet(tx was in Iraq he knows)343-**-congress critters s/b speaking out, not necessarily GW,357**_DBM learned to distort messages during Reagan era.,361**-abc gives 7 seconds on good war news, 20 on bad news,368**--current crop of pubbies don't support GW enough.478--**--VP cheney eviscorates libs,478*,487**,519*1/2--rebuking kabar,596--Cheney chat.

What a day! Two star post after post, TXradioguy has spent his time in Iraq and when he makes comments it's from experience. Sunday he was right on.

#1--aliveritas--the big enchalada goes to the "Queen of Links-- Ali Veritas. When she is in the mood or has the time she can be unbeatable. She has a vast arsenal of links that she uses that are so full of vital info it would take days to read each and every one of them. Sunday she had the only three star post as well as many other great posts.

#247***(only three star post of the day) a small novel, what is really happening in Iraq, the real progress in there and much more--must read for all.,252*1/2,351**LINK TO BERT BRADY ALL AMERICAN HERO,Bert spent 300 days in Dallas at the airport welcoming troops home,369**1/2--our reps s/b pointing out evey single hipocracy and lie as soon as it leaves dem lips.,372,*,397*,412*,425**--great stuff about Jim Marshall dem Ga. who votes against surge opposition,he says its like booing the home team cause you didn't like the coaches call, by the way he is against the surge and wants fewer troops there,431*1/2,506*,520**rebuttal to fishtalk, excellent, must read,536,*1/2--553**--everything the dems do is scripted over and over not GW--569-**-inside info, only Ali comes up with,Sadaam,Iran etc, must read,570*- 597*,614**--Why are we giving nuclear secrets away on the web.--great link.

It's impossible to guess the depth of knowledge Ali possess we are just glad she shares some of it with us,Sunday was her day.

Congrats to all who particpated in one of the best overall threads we have had, posts just keep getting better and better on the Sunday thread. We do provide a plethora of knowledge for the other members of the New media to peruse

Utterly surreal. 6 years after 09-11 we have a candidate for President who named Osama Hussein.

Well, not really that unusual.

From the 1960's we have had a consistent crowd suffering from what is called 'white guilt' over the treatment of Black 100 years earlier. Several of the so-called 'Black leaders' have tapped into that and used it as a wedge to shakedown corporations and groups. It has been going on for nearly 50 years, and it has been relatively successful, in the corporate community, political community, Hollywood community, etc.

There is another 'white guilt' that has developed the last 5 years. That is over the treatment of Muslims/Alarmists/Middle Easterners. It is a small, but surprisingly strong group. They are bending over backward to placate and appease. Following very closely the success of the 'Black movement' of the last 50 years, the 'Islamic movement' is tapping into the 'white guilt' they are finding in several groups: corporate community, political community, Hollywood community, etc. Notice how CAIR reacts to ever event or article or speech or report that is negative to Islamists. It is almost identical to the same type of reaction the Jesse Jacksons have made. They get attention, and they get apologies, and they get placations, and they hope to get reparations.

If you think it isn't happening, look at the new Congress and how they are already planning on reeling in the military from the war zones (in the Islamic world). Look at Northwest Airlines. Look at dozens of other examples of how placating Islamists is the newest civil rights movement. And look for it to increase before it ever decreases.

Timmy is playing McConnell's statement about unringing a bell.

Timmy wants to know why they don't just cut off funding.

Levin: it's wrong. Not going to repeat the mistake of Viet Nam. Also, that resolution would lose and the President would use it as support of his policy and would strengthen him.

The Prez is on a losing course, says Levin. Levin says he's not afraid of it politically. Says the Pubbies are afraid to have a majority of the Senate vote.

He repeats his not a surge but a plunge into Baghdad.

I cannot even get away from it with Sky News either it just seems to fascinate News International but then they do own one of the trashiest tabloids in the British Sun.

Timmy points out that, if Lieberman crosses the aisle, Levin will lose his chairmanship.

Is it worth risking losing control of the Senate, asks Timmy. Levin says he doesn't expect Joe to switch and does not answer the question.

Never's an “exclussive interview”... when an (R) follows the name. It's always ...“he/she will explain WHY”

Timmy: what if Iraq becomes a haven for terrorists.

Levin: that is what we have made it. It wasn't before. Just a handful of al-Q there before (he almost said there weren't any).

On to the crappy Walter Reed building and the terrible treatment of our Vets (the MSM only likes them when they are hurt).
