My Email to the Republican National Committee
Me | February 25, 2007 | Calpernia

Posted on 02/25/2007 2:07:14 PM PST by Calpernia

Hello RNC, are you listening?

I just received a call to renew my RNC membership. The solicitor assured me with my questions and concerns that RNC is moving away from supporting Log Cabin Republicans.

I felt relieved, thanked him and authorized him to transfer me to the verifier to make a donation. I tell the verifier, if what was said was true, that the RNC is moving away from supporting the Log Cabin Republicans, he can double my donation amount.

The verifier, gets mad/defensive. Asks me why would the RNC not support Log Cabin Republicans? He says they are part of the GOP and deserve our vote.

I said that was all I needed to hear and ended my the call. That is, without verifying my donation.

I will send the money directly to the Conservative candidates I support. No more RNC.

After Twinkle-toes Mehlman got done with them before running off to join Giuliani's little circus, the entire organization is probably gayer than a Liza Minelli album.

"I don't think I can remember a time when a Party Establishment has been so completely divorced from their political base."

Me neither... It's bad out there (here).

But it's certainly not like the leadership hasnt tried to defend marriage etc. It's other issues where the divorce is far deepeer (spending, immigration, are the top two).

That is sophistry and the very way dedicated Democrats think. Right now the only Republican I could, in good conscience, vote for would be Huckabee.

The problem is, he has very little name recognition. Sadly, politicians of today, need celebrity status. Unless you have a boat load of money, and consistent media exposure, you have no chance of winning the Presidency. Huckabee has neither.

I've always suspected that the callers seeking political donations from an organization as large as the RNC were paid workers and not necessarily committed Republicans.

Come on. They're the most loyal Republicans in all of Bangalore. ;)

Don't project. Show me where I said that.

I don't want Log Cabins to exist. There is a big difference.

They are all SDS. Same group that bombed U.S. Capitol Building in 1971. Same group that protested the Vietnam war. Same people that are anti-Iraq now.

We should be concentrating on getting each and every Republican elected.

Not according to your tagline.

I say we should throw em all out and start over.

The Log Cabin republicans are members of the HRC.

Matter of fact, Log Cabin republicans AND Victory Fund democrats BOTH belong to the Human Rights Campaign [HRC].

See:

http://www.hrc.org/Template.cfm?Section=Federal_Club11&Template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=21742

Excerpt:

At a separate event during the Convention,
HRC, Log Cabin Republicans and the Gay &
Lesbian Victory Fund honored Republicans
who have stood up against discrimination
in the U.S. Constitution and who work for
equality for GLBT families and individuals.
The message is that not all Republicans
are hostage to President Bush’s divisive
strategy and not all Republicans support
him. Later during Convention week, the
Log Cabin Republicans came to the same
conclusion as HRC that George W. Bush
cannot be our next President.

The republican party loves the left and wants is rino, being infiltrated with liberalism and left wing doctrines. Only a fool would believe they are still conservative.
I vote third party conservative for president and will keep the moral values of the Christian conservative and not join the hostile rino party if they do not put a conservative up. No candidate running now is a conservative, Gilluiani is a left wing liberal.

I say we should throw em all out and start over.

Until we demand, and get, a better system for electing these clowns in the first place, we don't have a chance.

They are shoed in by the media, speaking of clowns, thanks to McCain/Feingold, unlimited funds. Until voters get fed up, we will have the same ole same ole. Just look at the 2008 candidates. Makes you sick, doesn't it?

I can't give up, I could NEVER vote for a democrat. Voting for a third party would simply negate my vote. For now, I'd vote for Mickey Mouse, as long as he is a Republican. We need a strong party before we can have any strong candidates. I'm thrilled to have Rudy as a candidate.

Just MHO
