Yes, I suppose you did, but Maryland's deeply-ingrained Democratic Party adherents reasserted themselves and you saw the train wreck that occurred. I cannot believe the GOP has any future in that state. I suppose you could keep the faith and keep on trying but in the end it'll be like banging your head against the wall. If you couldn't win that Senate seat with such an attractive candidate and keep the governorship with such an outstanding governor, what hope is there?
