I voice my concerns by not going to mass.

I do the same. But soon we will be joined on this thread by the orthodox who say the Church can do no wrong.

I need a drink.

And in so doing commit, as described by St. Francis de Sales, spiritual suicide.

""While those who give scandal are guilty of the spiritual equivalent of murder, those who take scandal-who allow scandals to destroy their faith-are guilty of spiritual suicide."

A better tactic and one that will help keep you in a state of grace is to return to the Mass and the sacraments and place an envelope in the collection every Sunday with the following message:

"No doctrine, no dollars"

"2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.

Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens."(emphasis added)

I go to Mass and will donate to the local parish because they have to heat the building, put lights on, etc. But any of the special collections...forget it.
