Anyone can write a review on Amazon, you don't need any background or credentials to do so. Check out Amazon's section on Ann Coulter's books or books on 9/11--you would not want to use these "reviews" as evidence of the author's credibility.
True but usually a "controversial" author will spark very polarized reviews.
