The article you posted is about the 9/11 attacks.

I only mentioned the Saudi hijackers as an example into the terrorist mindset. And you acted as if you never heard bin Laden used Saudis to create a division between the US and Saudi Arabia. Osama's primary complaint was always US soldiers on Saudi soil so this theory is entirely logical. He wanted to drive a wedge between the US and Saudi Arabia to remove the US soldiers from their "holy" land. Take some time and look into the middle eastern customs and thinking process. These people do not think like you do.

I think you have spent too much time analyzing every little detail of this case and have become too focused on what you have found. You've taken every little clue and read meaning into it. Then you took that information and applied it to another clue and the problem here is that you did not start out in the right direction from the beginning. Step back for a minute and look at the big picture of means, motive, opportunity.

Why did Mohammed Atta check into using crop dusters? Maybe you think he just had a thing for airplanes? You are dismissing this as evidence for no other reason than because it is just too obvious.

Let's forget about the guy who bombed the WTC in '93, bombed the African embassies, bombed the USS Cole, declared war on the US, had tens of thousands of followers and convinced 19 of his followers to slit the throats of flight attendants with box cutters and fly planes into tall buildings full of people. It was just a coincidence that the anthrax letters were sent after 911. Some middle-aged white guy in New Jersey must have done it to warn us about the possibility of a terrorist attack.

Oh yeah? Like nearly everyone else, I initially assumed that al Qaeda was behind the anthrax attacks. But as the FACTS became known, it became more and more clear that that assumption was NOT valid.

When two Left Wing senators were attacked, I then began wondering if some Right Wing nutcase sent the letters.

When the anthrax turned out to be the Ames strain, and the Ames strain was thought to be very limited in its distribution, the picture changed again and so did my analysis.

Your comment points out the difference between you and I: If the FACTS say I have been wrong, I revise my analysis to fit the FACTS. You may be like George Bush and feel that is wrong and that people should stick with their initial decisions and beliefs no matter how STUPID those beliefs and decisions are, but I have to admit that that is not my way.

Why did Mohammed Atta check into using crop dusters? Maybe you think he just had a thing for airplanes? You are dismissing this as evidence for no other reason than because it is just too obvious.

Have you forgotten that Atta flew an airplane into a building? There are reports that Atta was planning to buy a crop duster and fit it with large gas tanks. The facts indicate the initial plan may have been to fly a crop duster laden with gasoline or chemicals into a skycraper. But then someone apparently came up with a much better and much more BOLD plan of hijacking some airliners.

The FACTS also say that spreading a few grams of powdered anthrax via a crop duster is a waste of time. The effects would be almost nil. The idea that Atta was planning to use a crop duster to spread a few grams of anthrax is just plain STUPID. There are a hundred chemicals he could have used which would have been a thousand times more lethal.

And you believe that the guy who did all that would send out a few ounces of anthrax in a WARNING LETTER, would INCLUDE MEDICAL ADVICE to reduce the danger, and then he wouldn't follow up with an actual attack even after Afghanistan was invaded and al Qaeda members all over the world were rounded up? Your beliefs are PREPOSTEROUS. They are contrary to the FACTS.

Of course not. You are totally ignoring the facts by saying such a ridiculous thing.

The letters were mailed from Central New Jersey where the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center was planned. Central New Jersey has a large Muslim population. Some of the 9/11 hijackers stayed for awhile in Paterson. Central New Jersey has about 200 labs capable of producing the attack anthrax. Muslims undoubtedly work in some of those labs. All these FACTS were KNOWN at the time of the first mailing.

A week after 9/11, the anthrax mailer sent out a WARNING that a bioweapons attack was coming. Many American scientists were absolutely CERTAIN that a bioweapons attack would be coming after 9/11 -- and they were equally CERTAIN that America was not ready to handle the possible deaths of thousands (or millions) of people from a bioweapon. Clinton's Secretary of Defense had gone on TV to talk about the damage that could be done with a five-pound bag of anthrax spores.

The first anthrax letters WARNED of a coming anthrax attack and they included MEDICAL ADVICE on how to PREPARE for such an attack. The idea that al Qaeda would send such a WARNING is preposterous.

The anthrax mailer lives and works in Central New Jersey and evidently feared that he and everyone around him could die from a bioweapons attack if the government didn't do something. One thing that could be done was to round up every suspicious looking Muslim in Central New Jersey.

BUT, Senators Leahy and Daschle were fighting the Patriot Act which seemed geared to doing exactly that. They were concerned with "Civil Rights" at a time when the anthrax mailer felt that MILLIONS could die.

So, when his first mailing accomplished nothing, the anthrax mailer sent a second mailing containing much more lethal anthrax to those two senators. AND he told them the powder WAS ANTHRAX so that everyone could take precautions. Because there was time to take precautions, and because everyone in the Senate buildings who were exposed to the powder took antibiotics, NOT ONE OF THEM came down with anthrax. The ONLY deaths from the second mailing were unintended.

And I could go on and on with FACTS which show that the letters were not sent by al Qaeda. But I'd prefer that you just buy my book. :-)
