Sen. Clinton fails to report charity

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's office has amended her Senate financial disclosure reports to include her family's $5.16 million charity.

The reports were amended late Monday after receiving inquiries from The Washington Post.

The newspaper said Clinton has failed to report the charity five times since it was established in 2001.

A Clinton's spokesman said the senator's failure to report the existence of the family foundation was an oversight, the Post said.

Clinton serves as treasurer and secretary of the family foundation, which was seeded with $5.16 million of the family's own money. The foundation has given away $1.25 million in charitable contributions, the newspaper said.

The Post said the family foundation is separate from the William J. Clinton Foundation, which has directed $10 billion in corporate money and resources to groups working on the issues of AIDS, climate change, hunger and poverty.

"A Clinton's spokesman said the senator's failure to report the existence of the family foundation was an oversight,"

Oversight?
Of course.

Just imagine 8 years of Bill Clinton multiplied by a misery factor of about 25 jillion.

Funny how they can remember to list dirty underwear on their 1040 but somehow forget to list 5+ million dollars on a Senate disclosure form.

Why,one could suspect that they might be....dishonest.

I felt as if we were being occupied by some foreign, un-American power under Clinton. It would be sickening to have this evil creature in power.

If this were a Republican, the phrase "Enron Style Accounting" would appear in the article, if not the headline.

Oh PLEASE, just an honest mistake!

Any one of us could forget being in charge of $5.6 mil any day of the week.

Can't wait to see the MSM lefties like Keith Olberman preening about how this is just another rightwing smear.

How can a family that according to the msm was all but destitute 6 years ago, do to right wing conspiracies and legal bills, suddenly forget about 5+million dollars, as if it was a quarter lost in the wash?

I doubt that question ever gets asked in public.

The Clintons were not worth a lot of money while Bill was president. He's made millions since with his book and speaking fees.

And she got millions for her book. Does anyone remember the timing of her book advance fees? It was after the Nov. 2000 election when she was elected senator, but before she was sworn into office on Jan. 3, 2001. That way she was able to legally receive the millions and not be in violation of Senate ethics rules.

Exactly, just this week there were news reports that slick willie went from negative assets to 40 MILLON Plus in just 6 years.

Almost all of it was from international speaking engagements. Where he gleefully bad mouthed the united States at every opportunity.
