Tell you what. When Giuliani's transformation from Democrat to Republican is complete, come back and talk to us.

Given that his list of choices was so constrained, I'm not regarding this story as terribly predictive.

Beyond his social policy preferences, Rudy's reliance upon empowering police while disarming law-abiding citizens is of far more concern to me.

This is why it is so important to vote in the primaries.

Actually, that's where the power lies.

I am in awe of that video.

I just don't see how Giuliani gets the nomination.

There is just no way, or this is some kind of alternative universe that I've stumbled into.

Sounds like a topic that's worth further inquiry. I'm certain some of Rudy's judges had to have issued some outrageous liberal decisions or cut a bunch of thugs loose. It'll all come out eventually.

In my opinion, there is no way Rudy Giuliani will be nominated by the GOP base once this kind of information gets out.

Getting it out is far cheaper than it used to be, so I'm glad to help!

(I just emailed the link to every Republican activist I know)

I just emailed it to Steve Frank.

Have you guys ever heard of a joke?

This video is a cut and paste job with no context or dates.

Here is George Will on Giuliani in 2007:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjS-MVp-j9k

and

"Regarding the Republican race, for many months commentators have said that when the Republican base learns the facts about Rudy Giuliani's personal life (an annulled first marriage, a messy divorce, then a third marriage) and views on social issues (for abortion rights, gay rights and gun control, in each case with limits), support for him will evaporate. But such commentary is becoming self-refuting. The insistent reiteration of it during Giuliani's coast-to-coast campaigning is telling activist Republicans -- the sort of people who read political commentary -- the facts about Giuliani. And so far those facts are not causing a recoil from him: According to the USA Today-Gallup poll, his lead over John McCain has grown from 31 percent to 27 percent in November to 40-24 today.

This does not mean that the social issues have lost their salience. People for whom opposition to abortion is very important might, however, think that in wartime it is not supremely important. Or they might reason, correctly, that presidents can change abortion policy only by changing the Supreme Court, so Giuliani's pledge to nominate justices like Antonin Scalia, Samuel Alito and John Roberts is sufficient."

"Rudy-toot on youtube."
Excellent find! Another nail....
(To all the Rudy-aid drinkers: You think we are harsh here, wait 'til the MSM tears into him if he gets the nomination)

What left-wing media adore him? He was hated by the media when he was Mayor.

Love that poll in the sidebar:
For "Rudy vs Newt," Rudy is once again far out front of "undecided" and carries a handy lead over "none of the above"...

I saw that, but they'll get better. The changes won't be substantive and you know it. There's plenty of time and VERY inexpensive means to distribute them nationwide for pennies on the campaign dollar.

This kind of stuff is a death knell for his primary campaign and you know that too.

You need dates and context to interpret, " I think Roe v. Wade is good constitutional law?"

Or "I have always been a supporter of McCain Feingold?"

He was hated by the media when he was Mayor.

And he will be again if he becomes the nominee. As long as he stands a chance of precluding or hampering a conservative nominee he's very useful to them.

amazing how his conservative critics don't remember or never knew how much he was hated by the left and MSM when he was Mayor.
