Examples of errors covertly corrected by the I.P.C.C. after publication Of its 2007 Summary for Policymakers on the science of climate change

Error 1: A 10-fold exaggeration in the effect of melting ice-sheets on sea-level rise

Error 2: A 20-fold exaggeration of the climatic effects of rising CO2 concentrations

Seems that the bureaucrats couldn't get the decimal points in the right place leading to a 10-fold exaggeration of global warming.

Can anyone confirm that the CSPP analysis is accurate?

This reminds me of the case of the Iron content of Spinach! Popeye and my whole generation ate Spinach to get Iron because someone moved the decimal place to the left when the Agriculture Department printed the test results.

It's not that there isn't iron in spinach, it's just in a form that the body can't use.

Gore inaccurately said polar bears are drowning due to melting ice when in fact 11 of the 13 main groups in Canada are thriving, and polar bear populations have more than doubled since 1940

Less ice means less cover for seals, the polar bear's favorite food.

But that's NOT drowning: and if populations are increasing, then the predicted "starving" bears have yet to reveal themselves: because more are living. And, as shown, the population of polar bears is NOT declining.

So both ends of their "polar bears are drowning" hypeedclaim are false.....

Now, just where is the north magnetic pole going though?

Why is the left NOW putting on a full court press with their Gloabal Warming Hype?

The only reason I can see is that they think they might be able to ram something through congress now that the Rats are in power.

That is the first I have seen about the ratio of forcing effect meaning that more C02 does not increase temp in an arthmentic way. I ws already done with this, but now I am doubly done.

I think it is because every other aspect of their liberal agenda has been shown to be a failure. GW is such a long term "threat" that they will never have to own up to the fact that it is baloney!

You are right. The hype makes it sound geometric even exponential and now it turns out to be logarithmic not even arithmetic. First we have to find a journalist who understands the four terms then we can get to the science.

I never knew that. Very interesting.

As time has gone by it's become obvious their science is entirely too faulty and like the house of cards a gentle breeze is going to destroy them. The left in this country has got to move now while they still have a measure of power if they are to succeed in putting some really damaging controls on capitalism.

The Euro left has got to act now for the same reason. They have allies in this country that can help them realize their goal of neutering the U.S. But those allies are not in positions of stable authority and the simple act of pacifying Baghdad can cause an upset in the balance of power away from a socialist utopia.

The Global Warming/Climate Change crowd knows they are living on borrowed time. So time is of the essence.

Wouldn't that be "moved the decimal place to the right?"  If spinach has 2.7 mg/serving and they moved it to the left it would read 0.27 mg/serving.  They moved it to the right and reported it as 27 mg/serving.

Regardless, your anecdote is correct and apparently it was reported incorrectly throughout the '30s.

Damn, I should have caught that. You should get over to the UN, they desperately need sharp proof readers.

This is an almost unbelievable situation.

The corrections to the IPCC summary are very significant.

Of course, all the hype will not be reversed by the FRAUDCasters now...

That may be true, but the tables said there was ten times more iron in spinach then ther really was.

I am dyslexic! Now that I am not trying to drive a submarine through a narrow passage, it doesn't matter as much.
