I hear that the Philipines has a growing muslim population. This sounds like someone trying to stir up anti-christian hate.
I think its time you woke up.
1.By the Administration that has spent more on the Border Patrol then any Administration in history?
By Ronald Reagan in his autobiography An American Life
"When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn't like it. "Compromise" was a dirty word to them and they wouldn't face the fact that we couldn't get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don't get it all, some said, don't take anything. I'd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: 'I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.' If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it."
[That is because Christian Fundamentalists believe that the state of Israel is a creation of God]
Uh, no.
I believe People of Israel are a creation of God.
The State of Israel, however, is a creation of humans.
But then, I'm an LCMS Lutheran and not a Fundamentalist...

On the other hand, there is a sub-sect in Shia Islam that has a similar apocalyptic vision....
As I've said before, it's not just the Shias. The Sunnis and every Muslim denomination also believe in the Signs of Qiyamah and the coming of the Mahdi. The only difference is that the Shia believe he will be the returning Imam Hussein (the author has it wrong -- the Shia believe he never died, he just went into hiding for 1100+ years) while all the other denominations believe the Mahdi will be a great Muslim born to that generation.
A Malaysian fundamentalist sect, the al-Arqham, ... taught its hundreds of thousands of believers that a Great Leader will soon emerge in Uzbekistan to lead the Muslims of the world in a Final Battle with the infidels ....
Again, all Muslims believe that the Mahdi will come some day, and the Hadith identifies that region ("Quraysh") as where he leads his march to world domination.
BTW, "infidels" means all non-Muslims, not just Christians. Just look at the recent attacks on Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, atheist Communists, etc.
For a while, Al Arqham watchers were convinced that this was none other than Osama bin Laden ....
Millions of Muslims had their eyes on OBL right after 9/11, and he is still very high on the list of possible Mahdis. He is also high on the list of possible precursors to the Mahdi (as is Ahmadinejad).
These are very powerful beliefs, and should not be joked about flippantly as the author does. If an imam can convince his audience that there is No Future, it is easier to convince him to put on a dynamite belt.
Let me also bemoan that the author passed up a perfectly good opportunity to educate his readership as to how Western Civilization is identified either allegorically as the Dajjal, or literally as the power base of the Dajjal.

I could be wrong, but I think Islam is the false religion of the anti-Christ.
Convert/submit or die!
All I can say is that I agree Islam is a false religion, and has been doing the "convert/submit or die" schtik since the Seventh Century. Whether it's the religion of the guy in the Book of Revelations, I don't know.
In the 1950s, End-Time literature tended to identify the "religion" of the Anti-Christ as atheistic Communism. In the 1980s, the End-Time literature tended to identify the Anti-Christ's religion as New Age Syncretism and Paganism. Now Post-9/11 End-Time literature tends to identify his religion as Islam.
Since I do not believe these are the End Times no matter what prophecies are invoked, for me the issue is moot.
What does concern me is that a religion with over a billion members has prelates who are using their End-Time dogmas to incite violence against myself, my countrymen, and our allies.
BTW, in the earlier post I should have added that the Muslim extremists also apply the term "infidel" to any perceived lukewarm Muslims.
Another clueless person who thinks they understand how evangelicals believe.
And if it's a choice between betraying Him or living, I pray I have the strength to resist Satan.
Amen! (And good night.)
What if one or more impostors also wear blue turbans to confuse the faithful? How will we know who to bet on?
Amen!
God will do what He will do and when He wants.
Christians support Israel because it is the right thing to do and we know they are the apple of God's eye. May God bless Israel any forever [and that speaks of the people -ethic Israel not the land].
I really believe that taking Zinc is one thing that can be very helpful.
