WASHINGTON -- Greg Craig, a Washington super-lawyer with close ties to the Clintons, is supporting Sen. Barack Obama for president. Craig was a White House special counsel defending President Bill Clinton in the Senate impeachment trial. A partner in the Williams & Connolly law firm founded by the legendary Edward Bennett Williams, Craig served as an adviser to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy. In confirming to this column his presidential preference, Craig called Obama unique and added: "I've never seen anyone who has made the impact on people and on me." He said he was impressed with Obama when he first met him at the home of investment banker Vernon Jordan, an intimate friend and supporter of the Clintons.

legendary Edward Bennett Williams Yo Bobby, you have been in DC far too long. There is absolutely nothing "legendary" about any of you DC blowhards.

All these people who are abandoning Hitlery for Dumbo must be doing so because they think he has the better chance. Because it certainly isn't because he has an established track record on the issues important to them. I'm thinking they want to be on the A-list and close to the seat of power since power is what Rats seem to crave the most.

It is going to be messy for these loud defectors if Hillary wins the nomination and they have to crawl back into her camp.
There must be some Democrat polling calculus out there that makes them believe (as do I) that she will not be the nominee.

All I can add is that anyone "impressed" with HRC and then becomes "impressed" with Obama Hussein is easily impressed with hot air.

I wonder what would happen if Bill defected and went to Obama. That would be hillarious.

The long shot Democratic presidential campaign by Christopher J. Dodd, the new Banking Committee chairman, solicited banking industry executives and lobbyists -- Democrats and Republicans alike -- for a fund-raising reception Wednesday. That is also interesting info .. smells too

Yup.
It's not say much for a guy that is first of all "impressed" with a woman who's only claim to fame is that she was married to the president of the United States, then turns round and becomes "impressed" with a guy that is 2 years removed from being a back bencher in a state house of assembly, and is notable only for the lack of any achievements since he joined the US Senate.
Things just keep looking better for the Republican party for 2008.

Things just keep looking better for the Republican party for 2008. Sure they do. The three leading contenders are all RINOs. I can hardly wait to see who we're stuck with on Jan. 20, 2009.

I had the same thought...
How can any of these people, that have been "in Washington" for their careers, truly BELIEVE that Obama is anything more than a sweet talker...with nothing to back up the words??
They should know that Hillary is all ego and no sense...but now to change to a man that is all ego and no knowledge or brain power.....is crazy, IMHO>

Whatever else can be said, at least we (Republicans) won't be stuck with either Hillary or Obama as our nominee. Since these two are the worst possible choices that can be made, ours can only be the third worst--LOL!
Who knows, we might get lucky and pick a really good candidate. We've a lot of time, yet.

Slick willie appeared at a NY fundraiser in place of hitlery.
He stated.......I don't know what I'm doing here I can't do a thing for any of you.
That says it all!
The Klinton's are now toothless and powerless.
