So is there a conclusion for why they aren't ALL fat? Even breast fed babies get plastic cups and their parents are exposed to the same things that the fat kids parents are.

Just anecdotally, all the fat kids I know have fat parents. And since I live in a small town I can say that that has been the case for as many as 4 generations.

There is a lot of psuedoscience out there. When you are looking at extremely subtle effects that have to be measured by statistical inference, it is easy to draw the conclusions that the researchers desire.
