RUDY: SHE'S NO EVIL STEPMOM; DEFENDS JUDI FROM HIS SON'S PARENT RAP (Judi's bitter divorce saga)
NY POST ^ | March 6, 2007 | GEOFF EARLE with Maggie Haberman

Posted on 03/06/2007 3:27:51 AM PST by Liz

Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.

Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.

Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.

At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

what kind of spouse it it that calls a press conference to complain about their marital partner?
It's called politics
Gee, I thought it was called "marriage".

When it's the Mayor of New York City catting around on his wife, it's called politics.

His mother was the city tramp too.

I have more of a problem with a person who sleeps with enough people to fill a baseball teams entire system than someone who has an affair with 1 person.

Ms. Hanover was no angel.

"You can begin the exploration of your mixed-up mental state by accepting that Giuliani is a registered Republican, and not a "democrat"."

You better take your misguided insults to some teenage chat room where they belong. I am calling a spade a spade:

Rudy Giuliani: "I would like to run on the Democratic Line"

Wearing a costume is not "cross-dressing," anymore than posing with a chimp for a movie is bestiality. Grow up already.

Good for Duncan Hunter.
...But oddly enough, Yeager hasn't had anything at all to say about your boy Rudy?

You missed the point. As usual.

Precisely. Congratulations! Chuck Yeager did not feel the need to slime Rudy, in order to support Hunter.

You're not even interested as to why Yeager would choose Hunter over Giuliani?

Of course you're not.

I strongly suggest you and your pals emulate Chuck Yeager.

Pot, Kettle, Black.

When your best argument for your choice is that we HAVE to vote for him because the democrat will be worse

That's actually not my position. I was responding in kind to dmw in his #57.

Giuliani is my 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th choice depending upon the day. Not 1st.

Neither Ronald or Nancy Reagan ever marched in a homosexual rights parade which included activist pedophiles

It's amusing to watch you cherry-pick what you respond to Veronica, now respond to the above fact that you conveniently ignored.

I trust you have a legitimate source ready to provide for that accusation?

Mormonism could well be a cult. I think a focus by the MSM on Mormonism would in the end be GOOD for a Mormon candidate.

Can you imagine the Senate Majority leader having to come out and defend the Republican Presidential candidate against attacks on his religion?

I'd much rather spend a couple of months having a debate over whether non-traditional religion should disqualify someone from office, than having to argue that it's OK to be pro-abortion, pro-civil-unions, pro-divorce, and a sexual promiscuous person so long as you can put an "R" next to your name while doing it.

Big deal. I know Chuck Yeager, and Ted Olson is no Chuck Yeager.

You are woefully ignorant of military and aerospace history aren't you?

Educate yourself about Yeager and you'll see how absurd your comparison with Ted Olson truly is.

That is true, but Attorneys General are not generally political ideologues, and nobody doubts Rudy's conservative credentials regarding the fight on crime.

Reagan appointed James Webb twice to high positions, and he's now a left-wing moonbat senator.

"Are you saying that Merv Griffin is a homosexual? Yes or No. Put up or shut up."

Don't mean to come between you two here, but I do think it is common knowledge that Merv is gay. I mean, I have known this for several years. Am I the only one who is aware of this? And let me be clear here, I am not trying to get into an argument about gays or anything like that, I'm just addressing your comment mkjessup about "putting up or shut up". I suppose an internet search could reveal this information.

dmw, I can truly say that I had NO idea that Merv was (or is) homosexual. This comes as a complete surprise to me, seriously.

Damn man, next thing you know we'll hear that Rudy is,,,

ahhh never mind, don't want to wind up in rehab with Ann Coulter.

Wait a minute.

What is Ted Olson's position on abortion? On civil unions? On assault weapons? on registering handguns?

I've heard people say Ted Olson is a conservative, but what are his public positions on any of these issues?

Is this your way of implying that Merv Griffin was a member of Stonewall or MoveOn.Borg, Veronica? Because I was referencing Stonewall Vets and MoveOn.org and you, Veronica, brought up Merv Griffin.

If the reports of his personal conduct are true and accurate, why should that be off limits to discussion?

That's my problem with you RudyNots, from top to bottom, start to finish. You have no reliable, first hand, dispassionate, and uncorrupted facts to support your charges.

You do seem to have an inexhaustible supply of gossip, innuendo, punditry, "reporting", and other 3rd, 4th, and 5th hand sentences and paragraphs from the notoriously sensational New York City press.

It is truly amazing that the scepticism normally embraced by FReepers is in the RudyNots case completely discarded in favor of 5th hand and 10th rate "factoids".

Put the entire Giuliani family on the stand, under oath, on realtime television, and we'll be able to sort out the "truth". Until then, your "evidence" doesn't even meet the high standards of Anna Nicholle Simpson coverage.
