You are interesting and kind of a trigger, so I watch as you "set-off" or trigger reactions of others. Like many, I'm watching and waiting for something or someone to SPARK something to awaken another smashing/stunning wave of conservatism in another mind bogling movement.

I see what's happening now as a mere lull. A "deep breath" if you will... I'm waiting for "the surge" here at home. I'm wondering why the injustice foisted upon Scooter Libby and other outrages are not yet sending FReepers and others to the streets with "Free Scooter" placards and the like.

Opportunities for "SPARKS" just keep rolling on by and it seems everyone is too "shell shocked" to get up and hit the streets! The cooling off has been going on since the 2000 election IMO.

Sparks and waves are mixed metaphors. Every time there is a hint of a spark one side or the other dashes waves to douse them. Furthermore, 'shellshocked' doesn't describe it for me. Its more like resigned to the socialist society we now live in. Its too late to change the system and its inappropriate to discuss Thomas Jefferson's fertilizing options. The society has been neutered to a nation of wimps who can't be counted on. We are now wearing chains and they will only get heavier as they tighten.
