Senator Burr just lost a supporter when (and if) he runs for re-election.

Not to be outdone, Liddy Dole will announce an endorsement of Rudy Guiliani right after her afternoon hair, nail and facial appointment.

Damn, that is really disappointing.
I worked very hard for him in 2004 and I think he's making a big mistake.
To: areafiftyone
It isn't surprising - Senators have proven over and over again that they are more loyal to each other than to any political ideal.

This is simple Senate-suckup ...reminds me of 1996 when it was Bob Dole's "turn" to get the nomoination. If we fall into that trap and nominate a 72 year old boring slug like McInsane...he'll lose by 16 points.

In the last 4 years driving to work and back each day in NC, all of the tobacco and cotton fields I used to see are now used to grow soy beans. There is only one field used to grow cotton that was not even harvested last fall. The cotton balls are still hanging on the plants in March. I would say that it's official, Tobacco is not King in North Carolina anymore. We do have a very strong crop of Latinos that seem to be growing quite well.

Oops!
Well, two senators from the two of the largest tobacco-growing states in the region, North Carolina and Virginia, are now on board with McCain In the last 4 years driving to work and back each day in NC, all of the tobacco and cotton fields I used to see are now used to grow soy beans. There is only one field used to grow cotton that was not even harvested last fall. The cotton balls are still hanging on the plants in March. I would say that it's offical, Tobbaco is not King in North Carolina anymore. We do have a very strong crop of Latinos that seem to be growing quite well.

I don't care how many Senators or Congressman endorse McCain, he won't get the Republican nomination because Republicans can't trust him.
