Cell Phone Camera Captures Knife Attack (Four stabbed in Las Vegas supermarket)
(March 8, 2007)--Las Vegas-area police released dramatic cell phone video Thursday of a knife attack at a Nevada supermarket that left four people wounded.
The accused attacker was subdued and jailed on attempted murder charges.
The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Jerry Gomez of Kingman, Ariz.
Police say he's also used the name Justin Gallo and claimed he was from Eastland County, Texas.
Police say the attack appeared random.
North Las Vegas police say a witness shot the video with a cell phone camera.
A woman's screams can be heard amid grainy images of a man lunging at a security guard during the Tuesday attack at a Food 4 Less store.
The guard and two clerks then chase and subdue the man in a checkout lane.

France just passed a law that would make the use of a cell phone camera to record the attack into a crime...until the person photographing the attack is a professional journalist.
Fortunately, it didn't happen in France.

Were there any SUV's involved?
As my Boy Scout shooting instructor used to say (in the real old days when they had Boy Scouts and you actually had gun demonstrations (the highlight of the weeks in camp, when the Remington guy came and shot flying cans, etc.,...) and actual target practice with real guns and real ammo.,...) and you missed the target and tried to blame the gun or the sights,....."it's not the gun,...it's the "nut behind the butt".
So, people were stabbed with a knife. Knives are dangerous, only authorized government agents should be allowed to have them. They should have breathalysers attached to them. I think we should outlaw knives and you should have to separate your meat and vegetables with a fork or spoon. Or maybe cut up everything with a serrated plastic knife with a rounded point. We want to keep everyone safe "for the children". etc. ad infinitum, etc.

I wanna know how much CNN HN paid for the rights to this tape. They really seem to be getting their money's worth out of it.
