Upon some reflection, I think this is why I like Rudy. He's a SOB, and I'm tired of President Bush's nice guy/pushover routine. I think most people are, too, which explains Rudy's appeal. Once you admit that he's an SOB, but that's what you want, then it's easier to overlook his negatives. It's because he's a negative force that I want unleashed on my enemies.

At any rate, I've said my piece. Cue the hand wringing and gnashing of teeth.

"I'm tired of President Bush's nice guy/pushover routine."

What makes you think it is a routine?

I think ihe is a pushover. Look at the drug bill.

My sentiments exactly, Wolf. Enough already with the Mr. Nice Guy, let's all get along, hands across the aisle kumbaya! The Dems want to get us killed. I want someone to stand up to them, as well as the terrorists.

Yo Wolf, you've said it well.

One of Harry Truman's outstanding traits was his mean temper. You didn't mess with him.

Similarly, I think Rudy wouldn't take much crap off anyone. And I like that.

An important area where Rudy is to the right to of the other candidates is that he's not afraid to piss off Democrats and activists. Bush and most Republicans on the national level try too hard to be "compassionate" conservatives. I don't see the other Republican candidates for president speaking out against Al Sharpton. Rudy's tough guy approach would be good for the country.

Point on. And if Fred Thompson comes in, Rudy G will either beat him or lose to him and we will have two tough guy SOB's on the ticket. Time for niceness to end. There is no bridge to reconcilliation in this nation. There really is two America's and we better recognize it. This is a culture war we are in and our SOB's better be tougher than the pacifist-socialists we face in the Democrats. Frankly I am sick of Pubs never defending ourselves, themselves, for the good of the nation against the lies and undermining of the Democrats.
