The ranking Republican of the Senate Armed Services Committee sharply rebuked the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Tuesday, taking issue with General Peter Paces view that homosexual acts are immoral.
Sen. John Warner (R-Va.), a former Secretary of the Navy, said, I respectfully but strongly disagree with the chairmans view that homosexuality is immoral. In keeping with my longstanding respect for the Armed Services committee hearing process, I will decline to comment on the current policy until after such hearings are held.

Peter Pace also went out of his way to point out that the military disapproves of adultery as well. Sexual license is not only immoral, it also undermines trust and morale.
If Warner can't say anything useful, he should keep his trap shut.
You see Warner is one of the people who has no moral compass, he is in leadership, and he sits on the armed servics cmte.
Thank you General Pace for speaking the truth.
Come think of it Senator John Warner all due respect one of your ex wives hang out with Flaming Queen like David Gest and JACKO
Come out of the closet Sen. John Warner.
Warner is a scumbag...period.
John Warner is a gigolo. I suppose he considers it moral to marry rich women and build fortunes on the money they (or their families) paid him to go away.
I'm getting sick and tired of the denial of free speech rights to everyone except the Michael Moores and Cindy Sheehans of the world. Warner is a moral coward, a hack, and a RINO weasel. (I thought I should get that out before it becomes a crime.)
His personality is a unique blend of senility and pomposity. He's truly an embarrassment.
The majority of Warner's constituents . . . agree? Whatever has become of the Old Dominion?
After he is replaced run Pace for President.
"I give you the man who ......hails from Brooklyn and has balls."
I am speechless.
Who said the culture war is over? A Chairman of the JCS is by his position a moral person, I would expect no less of teh Chairman, than to hold this opinion that hmosexuality is indeed immoral.
So let's watch teh Dhims try and socially engineer the military in a time of warfare, it would be bad enough that one may risk their life on a daily basis, to add social programming as well will cause recruitment to drop, and re enlistment to fall off.
That is part of what happened during the Clinton years, long time members simply dropped out.
I would vote for that man in a heartbeat.
God help us all. I am livid about this crap.
Shove it up your sphincter you stupid RINO fossil. It's okay for you to undermine the war effort by opposing the president's surge in Iraq which is showing initial signs of success, but Pace expresses his opinion which he has a right to that homosexuality is wrong and you have the nerve to pipe up??? Sit down and shut up you Depends-wearing relic!
Dottering Old Queen puts his hoof down.
'Sen. John Warner.....'I respectfully but strongly disagree with the chairman's view....'
So, John Warner has the right to express his opinion but Gen. Pace doesn't??
Warner needs to retire and take Specter with him!
I wish it were that simple, Meehan a ultra lib from MA (were else) introduced a bill that would repeal don't ask as law.
A buble here a whiff of smoke there, and now we have the ranking member on the Armed Services Cmte, saying that "we should revisit the policy".
Here it comes.......
