Baker posted three consecutive poles at Atlanta between the spring of 1979 and spring 1980 and is the only driver other than Newman to win more than two poles in a row there.

Bobby Labonte leads all active drivers with six Atlanta wins.

I really hope this is his breakaway week. He's been on a bad streak for way too long, but I feel it's just a matter of time before he gets back to his winning ways.

I hate to be picky, but this is a pet peeve. There have been 7 Nextel Cup races in Atlanta. The remaining races were all Winston Cup races.

By the way, I was there today, and it was a fantastic race.
