This 73 minute documentary debunks Algore's theory and hysteria within the first 20-30 minutes but fully crushes it by the end. Key findings:
The incidence of CO2 in the atmosphere LAGS temperature rise by about 800 years.
Oceans produce the most CO2, especially when the weather is warming (due to sun activity). And the oceans absorb CO2 when temperatures are cooling.
Temperatures were cooling from 1940 to around 1975 -- during the HEIGHT of Industrialization and the Post-World War 2 boom.
Sun-spot activity is almost perfectly correlated with temperature variation. The most logical explanation for climate change is: Sun activity produces varying amoungs of cosmic rays; these affect the oceans and produce more clouds; more clouds help trap heat and cause global warming.
Another great correlation: there are now tens of thousands of jobs that are dependent upon Global Warming. Unfortunately, some of the blame can be assigned to Margaret Thatcher who, in the 1970's, wanted to move the UK away from dependence on oil (Mid-East terrorism and threats) and coal (coal miners striking). A Swede noted that man-made CO2 would result in global warming -- Thatcher grasped at that theory and gave it a budget for research. That was the start.
Another correlation: funding for research into global warming in the US was around $180MM per year before 1988; then it started getting more and more funding and went to over $2 billion from 1990 on. This correlation also tracks the hippies, peaceniks and ecology-freaks: when Communism fell, they needed a new political cause to fight capitalism, globalization, and America -- thus was born Global Warming.
Finally, a great consequence: third world countries will continue to languish in poverty because the UN and others want to deny them the help to develop cheap power and industrialize their countries. The Eco-Freaks like to romanticize living the simple life -- unfortunately, the life-expectancy of these poor countries is pitifully low.
